This mine lies east of Portreath stream (on the Ordnance Survey map, it erroneously appears on the west side of the valley) and is now completely built over by the northern outskirts of Redruth. The southern boundary of the sett followed the road known as Plain-an-Gwarry. A.K. Hamilton Jenkin refers to these workings as Redruth Consols.
