Thirty-five of these Nobel winners, known as Nobel Laureates, will gather at Lake Constance, Germany from June 30 to July 5. WebStanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1986 for their discovery of growth factors. Cohen joined the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine faculty in 1959 and holds the title of Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry, Emeritus. Cohen was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1922.
